Offshoot's Warehouse Sale Includes Set Pieces, Costumes and Props

Offshoot Productions, now focusing on touring and special events, is consolidating its warehouse holdings. This means that risers, flats, props, lumber, carpets and more from its 14-year run on the Southside are on sale. Interested parties should contact producing artistic director Susan M. Steadman, Ph.D. for an appointment at (770) 631-2362 or offshootpr@aol.com. The warehouse is on Dividend Drive in Peachtree City.

So, what is the theatre up to these days? Improv night at the Fayette Art Center and Gallery with Offshoot's Gallery Players, Friday, February 1 at 7:00 p.m. Abundant chocolate desserts, coffee and laughter are on tap. The Fayette Art Center and Gallery, 2011 West Highway 54, is handling reservations, which are $20 in advance and $25 at the door, and include beverage and dessert.

The art center may be reached by phone at (770) 631-2780 and online at fayetteartcenter@bellsouth.net.

Then there's Rehearsal for Murder, the sequel to Offshoot's Audition for Murder. Two actors and an unstable director trapped in a freight elevator. When the repairs are finished and the doors are open, one of them is dead. Who dunnit? The audience gets to decide! The show is available for fundraising, corporate functions, special events and parties beginning in late February.

Auditions are ongoing for Tales from Near and Far, Offshoot's company-developed participation play for children. Bookings from libraries, schools, day care centers, camps and other venues are being accepted. Call or e-mail for more information. Touring begins in late April.
