The highly successful and award-winning Broadway and touring productions of THE LION KING will be holding open casting calls for singers and dancers in Atlanta in mid-April. There will also be auditions for children who can sing, dance, and act.

These open calls are for anyone, regardless of experience, who would like the opportunity to audition and be part of this long-running stage musical.

We encourage performers of all cultural backgrounds to attend.

Celise Hicks, Resident Dance Supervisor for The Lion King is a native of Atlanta and will be conducting the dance auditions. Celise began dance training at Carol Walker’s Southern Dance Academy and then attended Dekalb Center of the Performing Arts High School. She also danced with the Gary Harrison Dance Company in Atlanta.

Jennifer Rudin Pearson, Director of Casting and Talent Development for Disney Theatrical Productions in New York City. Jennifer spent five years as head of casting for Walt Disney Animation Studios in Los Angeles and cast the following animated movies to name a few: Chicken Little, The Incredibles, Meet the Robinsons, The Wild and Brother Bear. Jennifer serves on the Board of Directors for the Casting Society of America.

The casting calls coincide with the much-anticipated return engagement of Disney’s THE LION KING in Atlanta April 3 – May 4 at the Atlanta Civic Center, presented by Fidelity Investments Broadway Across America – Atlanta. Ticket prices range from $21.00 to $63.00. VIP Ticket Packages are also available for $132.50, which include premium seating, a complimentary souvenir program and the commemorative VIP show merchandise item. Tickets are available through authorized ticket sellers at the Atlanta Civic Center Box Office and through Ticketmaster outlets, online at or by phone at 404-817-8700. Seeking strong male and female dancers with a classical and modern dance background. Some male dancers require strong acro skills. You must be warmed up and ready to dance in flat jazz shoes or bare feet.
