Twilight Theatre Annouces Auditions for "The Music Man"

The Twilight Theatre announces auditions its summer stock production, "The Music Man", under the direction of Jared Wright. The musical follows the story of a fast-talking traveling salesman who tries to con a small town in Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a "band" he is forming to "save their children" from degradation. Little do they know that he doesn't truly know anything about music. In the midst of his scheme, he falls for his adversary, a music teacher. Does she convince him to change his ways? Does she return the love he feels for her? A show that encompasses classical musical theatre and a well-constructed script - what's not to love about this musical?

Auditions will be held at the Heritage Christian Church, 2130 Redwine Road, Fayetteville, GA on Sunday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m. and Monday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m. Performances will be at the Frederick Brown Jr Amphitheater in Peachtree City at 8:00 p.m. on July 11, 12, 18, and 19. Come to auditions prepared to do cold readings from the script, musical selections from the show, and improv exercises. Some dancing may also be required, so dress accordingly.

Anyone who can play a musical instrument is encouraged to attend, too. There will be a live orchestra for the show, but playing a musical instrument is not required to audition for a role in the show.
