FCFT's Summer Drama Production Camp "Hansel and Gretel"

FCFT's Summer Drama Production Camp
"Hansel and Gretel"
The Fun Starts Friday, June 20

FCFT is gearing up to take campers on an adventure of creativity as they present their 2008 Summer Drama Production Camp. Offered since the summer of 1990, this camp allows participants to explore ALL aspects of theatre production as they work toward the ultimate goal of putting on a One-Act Musical Production at the conclusion of camp for a public audience.

Campers will audition for roles, be cast in parts that best suit their abilities, create their own costumes and sets, learn stage makeup, rehearse dances, songs and lines and take part in daily theatre games and exercises that build creativity and self-confidence. Great roles are available for both boys and girls and participants may even choose to take a role that is non-speaking, if that makes them feel more comfortable. Everyone who participates in camp is guaranteed a role in the final production.

There still are a few openings left for this camp that runs Friday, June 20 and Monday - Saturday, June 23-28 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. The production of "Hansel and Gretel" will be presented on Saturday, June 28 at 6:00 p.m. and again at 7:00 p.m. Campers need to be between the ages of 8 to 15 years.

The registration fee is $250.00 and includes a camp T-shirt and all materials for sets, costumes and makeup. Campers will also be treated to a fulfilled cast party on the final day of camp with a cookout and bingo for prizes.

Camp will be held at the FCFT Warehouse at 177 Fulton Court in Peachtree City with the final Saturday, June 28 camp session and production being at Fayette Family YMCA at 215 Huiet Road in Fayetteville. Preregistration is required to attend. To register please call 770-599-0051 or e-mail fcftdirector1@aol.com. You may also visit the FCFT website at www.fcft.net/Shops for online information.
